Conservative Party Conference 2018

A number of local party members and councillors attended this year's conference in Birmingham , the Conference took place between the 30th September to the 3rd October.

They heard key note speeches, fringe events and socialised with other party members. 

Conservatives: Supporting our NHS

We have increased health funding to a record level – so people get the care they need. We committed to increasing NHS spending by a minimum of £8 billion in real terms over the next five years. We have also in the Budget provided the NHS with £2.8 billion of funding to 2019-20.

This Budget lays the foundations for a Britain fit for the future – investing for the long-term while supporting families and businesses under pressure now, setting a path to a more prosperous Britain.

Budget 2017

Chancellor Philip Hammond MP in his Budget announced the scrapping of stamp duty for the first £300,000 spent by first-time buyers, a saving of up to £5,000.

The cut will apply to buyers in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Conservative Conference 2017

The 2017 Conservative Party Conference took place at Manchester Central from 1st-4th October.

Many West Lancashire party members, borough councillors and association officers attended.

Chancellor Philip Hammond presented a Budget for the United Kingdom that helps us make the most of the opportunities that lie ahead.

It’s a budget that keeps our economy strong as we begin to leave the EU, by continuing to control public spending.
