Ian is the current leader of the Group at WLBC and leader of the Council. He was elected as a councillor for Aughton Park ward in 1992 and has been a councillor at the borough and the parish since then. A past portfolio holder in regeneration and planning he brings to the Council an experience in local politics along with being a school governor and past member of the PCT. He has lived with his family in the Borough for over 50 years as well as having worked as a solicitor in the Borough . He sits on a number of committees in Lancashire to promote the interests of the area.
