Rob Bailey - Association President

Rob Bailey is the President of the Association, having served as an Association officer since 1999 and as Chairman to March 2008.

In addition he is currently Area Chairman for Lancashire covering 16 parliamentary constituencies and Deputy Chairman for finance and membership for the North West with its 76 constituencies.

Rob was elected as Lancashire County Councillor for Ormskirk West in 2009 and has represented the Knowsley ward of West Lancashire Borough Council since 2000. He is currently the deputy Mayor for the Borough although has previously held cabinet positions for leisure, performance and human resources as well as stints as Chairman of Scrutiny.

Representing the ward that covers much of the Town centre and Coronation park, Rob has championed the renaissance of the park and investment to ensure Ormskirk remains attractive and vibrant.

Originally qualified as a chartered electrical engineer he holds degrees in computer systems engineering, a masters degree in business administration (MBA) from WarwickUniversity and has more recently law (LLB). Having spent 15 years in engineering and manufacturing management, he now advises Local Authorities on Improving the performance and financial efficiency of their direct services.

Mrs Jenni Mayer - Association Chairman

Jenni was born and raised in Somerset and became a Young Conservative when a sixth-former. In 1962 she joined the WRAF and became a Photographic Interpreter.

During a posting to Singapore she met Martin, a helicopter pilot, and they married on their return to the UK. For 30 years they travelled the world on Her Majesty’s service and finally returned to Martin’s roots in Lancashire. During the ‘70s she joined the local Associations in Salisbury and Marlborough.

In 2002 she became the Deputy Chairman Political of the West Lancashire Conservative Association’s Women’s Committee and in 2005 their Chairman. She is a Patron, President of the Wrightington Branch and was elected as Chairman of the West Lancashire Conservative Association on 28^th March, 2008. She is Chairman of the Parbold and District Flower Club and NW organiser for the East African Women’s League (UK). She is a member of the Royal British Legion, the WRAF Officers’ Association and the Freedom Association.

Graham Jones - Deputh Chairman Political

Graham is a solicitor working in-house for a North West based plc. He has lived in West Lancashire for over 20 years. He is married with 3 children. He became Deputy Chairman Political of the Association in February 2010. He has been a member of Aughton Parish Council since 1998 and chairman from 2007 to 2009.

Mrs Barbara Kean - Office Manager

Before her retirement Barbara spent most of her working life as a teacher within the schools of Liverpool and Sefton where she taught French, History and Music, culminating in her becoming the Head of the Music Dept. at Lambshear Lane Lydiate. Barbara became Office manager 5 years ago initially for a 3mth term and is still here! She enjoys her role and assures you of a warm welcome when you contact the Association office. Barbara and her husband are seasoned travellers and ardent supporters of Liverpool FC.
